Chef4 is a project I was working on last few months. I have just a month before the public launch and there are a few things already got old since I started.
I’m going to update and fix these few things and switch the project from Laravel 4.2 to 5.0.
I spent almost three hours trying to install Supervisor on my Ubuntu 12.04 Vagrant box. Opscode Cookbooks providing the best recepis but looks like they don’t work for everyone (at least for me!).
This year at the AWS Summit 2013 in San Francisco, Amazon presented OpsWorks – a great tool for organizing, scaling, deploying and monitoring your applications in a very easy way. OpsWorks is a relatively new tool that is currently in beta mode, which means it isn’t going to be perfect, but that shouldn’t stop you from trying it. As with any new tool you might encounter some issues while using it. It’s not necessarily always internal problems, but are rather related to the tools and apps you are going to use with OpsWorks. In this and following posts I’ll try to write my solutions for these issues.
